Restore zero-length files from cache or?

I had to restore from a backup back in October. I’ve just discovered that there are many zero-length files in my DVC-managed folders. I think these were probably hard links that weren’t restored properly. My .dvc folder is still at 1.2T, and I have a ‘remote’ repo on my system that I occasionally push to with ‘dvc push -r tank’.

I do have a backup made the day before whatever happened, but it would be quite tedious to find all the files that need to be replaced.

Any suggestions on how to recover these files?

So, could you clarify please what exactly happened? Do you still have those files in cache? Can then dvc checkout restore them? Or dvc pull?

I restored the files from a backup, so everything is back to normal, as best I can tell. As I said, I think it was related somehow to the hardlinks that weren’t restored properly.
