One important question, which I couldn’t find an answer to in the post: is 1.0-pre backwards compatible?

@drorata great question! We are trying to make it as backward compatible as possible. But some parts of API will break backward compatibility.

For example, an “old project” might still work with DVC 1.0 (still investigating when it does not apply). However, a script that uses dvc run command might not work because the command syntax was changed a bit.
